Bottom Line
The Plustek OpticFilm 7200 claims a 7,200-pixels-per-inch (ppi) optical resolution, but it doesn't truly deliver. High-resolution scans are marred by artifacts similar to pixelization. And the overall quality and acceptability of each scan depends on what's in the photo.
If you have lots of slides and 35-mm negatives to digitize, the Plustek OpticFilm 7200 probably sounds like the scanner you've been waiting for. This low-cost film scanner ($199 direct) claims a resolution of 7,200 pixels per inch (ppi), theoretically enough to turn a 35-mm slide into a high-quality poster-size photo. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite deliver all it promises.
VueScan is compatible with the Plustek OpticFilm 7200i on Windows x86, Windows x64, Windows RT, Windows 10 ARM, Mac OS X and Linux. This scanner has an infrared lamp for scanning film. VueScan's 'Filter Infrared clean' option can be used to remove dust spots from film scans. This is similar to (and we think better than) the ICE and FARE algorithms. The plustek opticfilm 7600i se is a film scanner with 48-bit colour and 7200dpi resolution, bundled with silverfast to deliver infrared dust and scratch removal. Wifi Compaq 18 All In One Drivers Windows 7. I understand that you would like to install the Plustek optic Film 7200i scanner with Windows 10. As there are no Windows 10 compatible drivers available from the manufacturer, I suggest you to install the available Windows 7 drivers in compatibility mode and check if this helps.
The 7200 comes with several useful programs, most notably NewSoft Presto! PageManager for managing files, and LaserSoft SilverFast SE 6, a reasonably high-end scan program that offers excellent controls for tweaking image quality and is easy to learn and use. SilverFast has both a PhotoShop plug-in and a Twain driver for use with other programs.
To scan, you mount up to four slides (or a strip of film) in a carrier and slide the carrier into a slot on the scanner's side. One cut corner that helps keep the price down is that there is no mechanism to move the carrier through the scanner automatically. Instead, you have to position it by hand for each image. This can get tiresome compared with most film scanners, but it's still easier than positioning slides in a typical flatbed scanner.

Prescans took 16 to 20 seconds. Scan times were about 40 seconds at 1,500 by 1,200 pixels (for 150 ppi at 8 by 10 inches), and 2:20 at 7,200 by 5,800 pixels (for 150 ppi at 38 by 48 inches). Unfortunately, the high-resolution scans are somewhat problematic. On the one hand, they showed detail better than most scanners' output. But on the other, even at a 100-percent view in PhotoShop, we saw artifacts that looked suspiciously like pixelization. We saw a hint of the same issue in lower-resolution scans as well, but we also saw a crisper focus than in scans from the Canon CanoScan 8400F , for example, which delivers better-than-average slide scans for a flatbed scanner.
The 7200 also does well on dynamic range, showing detail over the entire range from the lightest to darkest areas on our test slides. Consider this a reasonably capable, inexpensive choice for scanning slides for the non-professional.

Infrared cleaning works well with all types of color negative and color slide film, including Kodachrome. However, silver-based black/white film doesn't work with infrared cleaning because the silver particles look the same in visible light and infrared light.
